Dear Poonsak,
My first experience at Thai food was while visiting family and enjoying
dining at your restaurant. I avoided spicy food for many years sticking to
the traditional Chinese style foods.
My mistake, my loss, for you have opened my eyes to a new
and wonderful taste in foods.
I have to confess that I am now hooked on a couple of your
dishes. I have tried a couple of local places but no way, it's more than
worth the drive to get back to Livonia and sit down to one of your
meals. Thanks so much for your wonderful way of showing
me that my horizons can stand to be stretched. Joanna Goodall

About Us
Family owned and operated Poonsak and Toy Sookthis
along with Tom Lin have found a unique way to bring the East to the West with a mixture
of specialties from their homeland of Thailand.
It takes a combination of people to put together a great restaurant.
From the wait staff to the kitchen staff emphasis are put on perfection.
The Poonsak brothers brought that knowledge with them from Thailand to
New York and now Michigan.
Good quality dining at an affordable price is what we strive for Tom
Lin announces proudly as he greats new customers.
The Thai Basil Restaurant now located in the same building that
the Szechuan Empire previously was has taken on
a new flair for prestige.
We invite you to stop by and let us show you
how pleasurable we can make your dining experience.
